FOV design

All ships are designed with electric propulsion and can operate smoke and noiseless in and out of Ports.

DryTank.dk and its partners For-Mer has developed coastal ship design the FOV series UNIQUE to carrying high volume cargo

DryTank.dk has designed the CO2 neutral and CO2 free ship in range 3000-7500 dwt.

The FOV series designed are

  • Multi Purpose BULK selfdischarging Wood Chip Carrier  from 3000-7500 DWT
  • Multi Purpose BULK selfdischarging coaster with tweendeck  from 3000-7500 DWT
  • Tanker design 5-6500 DWT
  • LNG Shuttle Tanker tanker design 5-7500 DWT – 5000 cbm
  • Multi Purpose RoRo CarCarrier 1680 Lanemeters for cars 5000 DWT

Design comprise of following free choice fuel systems:

  • Pure Hydrogen CHG 350 bar – upto 600 nm range before bunkering

  • Mix Hydrogen/Biofuel – upto 6000 nm before bunkering

  • Mix Ammonia/Biofuel– upto 6000 nm before bunkering

  • Mix LNG (liquid)/Biofuel  – upto 6000 nm before bunkering

  • Pure battery  – upto 120 nm range before charge

  

About this Process

– Design is reviewed and approved by DNV-GL who as been in the process when developing the FOV design

How it works in ports
FOV ship will close down her electric gensets (if not Hydrogen drive is elected) and will approach and berth in port on basis of the surplus energy the vessel has produced under her voyage. That energy is stored in her battery or in form of the energy collected in vessels giant (50-100 tons) hot water storage tank.

When FOV is berthed the vessel is connected to the ports power system, some ports have a lot of Power to offer and others a little but FOV will not
need a particular AMP supply as any connection that can provide POWER will be acceptable. If not enough Shore Power the retained energy in Battery
or in Hotwater tank system will support the shore power plugin with the necessary energy for the vessel during loading or discharge as far as possible.

Economy options
DryTank has a cooperation with a German Equity house with funding to shipowners who wish to build a FOV ship Design, depending on the owners ability of placing equity we can formulate a finance scheme to fit owners. Should Owners interested have older tonnage to be disposed we can as well assist to find buyers as well as Finance for those buyers their purchase of owners older tonnage to be replaced.
